Giving back through ClubGRANTS.
Every year your local club returns money to the community. At Pottsville we do it alongside our neighbouring clubs through Tweed Community Clubs — a joint initiative funding the charities, community groups and sporting teams that make the Tweed Coast a great place to live.
About the scheme
A simple idea that keeps on giving.
ClubGRANTS is the way registered clubs in New South Wales channel a share of their gaming income straight back into the communities they belong to.
The ClubGRANTS scheme began in 1998 through the NSW Government, giving clubs a structured way to support the people and projects around them. By 2014 it had distributed over $100 million, and more than $1 billion has now been returned to communities across the state since the scheme started.
Closer to home, Pottsville Beach Sports Club delivers its ClubGRANTS giving through Tweed Community Clubs — a joint initiative where local registered clubs pool their effort and apply the scheme together. Between them, member clubs return more than $2.5 million to Tweed charities and community organisations every year. For many of those groups, that funding is the difference between carrying on and closing the doors.
So when you support the club, you're part of something bigger — a shire-wide effort that helps local charities, community groups and sporting teams keep doing what they do best.
Where the funding goes
Two categories of support.
ClubGRANTS funding is grouped into two categories, so applications can be matched to the right kind of community need.
Category 1
Community welfare and social services, community development, community health services, and employment-assistance activities — the front-line support that helps people through tough times.
Category 2
Year-round applications for community development and support — including sporting, cultural and recreation projects that bring people together and keep the community active.
How to apply
Applying is straightforward.

- Start at Tweed Community Clubs — Pottsville is a member, and it's where the local clubs set out how the scheme works and what's currently open.
- For Category 2 funding, applications can be mailed directly to the club using the postal address opposite.
