Honouring a Mothers Memory
Katelyn Gallacher’s Triathlon Challenge for Brain Cancer Research
This month marks a deeply personal milestone for Katelyn Gallacher. It’s been 10 years since her mum passed away, and to honour her memory, Katelyn has decided to take on a life-changing challenge – completing her first-ever triathlon to raise funds for brain cancer research.
For Katelyn, this is no small feat. Until recently, she couldn’t swim a stroke, and she has had little experience with cycling or running. Yet, she’s committed to tackling a 750m swim, a 20km ride, and a 5km run. It’s not just about pushing her physical limits; it’s about remembering her mum’s strength and resilience.
“This is for you, Mum,” Katelyn says. “I’m nervous, but I’m so motivated to take this on and make a difference.”
Through this challenge, Katelyn hopes to raise vital funds for brain cancer research, helping to advance treatment and care for those impacted by the disease. Every donation brings us closer to making a real difference in the lives of those affected.
Let’s show our support for Katelyn as she takes on this extraordinary journey. Your donation, big or small, will not only support a great cause but also cheer on Katelyn as she achieves something truly inspiring in her mum’s honour.
